Re-Covering Memory
- Description
- Foam core submission board designed for the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in 2003 titled “Re-Covering Memory.” This design plan is not intended as a site design but rather an accompanying feature implemented across the city to invoke remembrance beyond the space. The design is for the production and installation of engraved manhole covers with a pattern recalling the steel tridents of the Twin Towers. In the center is a flower with engraved text and repeated silhouettes of the Twin Towers that include the dates, times, and victim counts.
