The Key of Memory
- Description
- Foam core submission board designed for the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in 2003, titled, “The Key of Memory.” This design replaces the tower footprints with groves of trees totaling the number of victims. Surrounding the trees are cloisters which enclose a space intended for silence and peace. Only the victims' families are given keys to access the sacred groves. All other visitors would view the groves from the perimeter.
