Under the Wings of Comfort
- Description
- Foam core submission board designed for the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in 2003, titled “Under the Wings of Comfort.” This design plan features two floating glass wings coated with material that splits white light into spectrum light like a prism. The position of the sun and the season will change the colors reflected across the site. The wings also include embossed names of the victims. At ground level is a shallow pool meant for visitors to light floating candles.
