- Description
- Untitled foam core submission board designed for the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in 2003. This design plan proposes over 3,000 pipe bells ranging between 30-45 feet in length to create a carillion: a set of bells suspended from beams or rods and operated by pulling on cables at the pedestal base. Each pedestal base is made of stone and engraved with victims' names. A visitor can activate each individual pipe bell, and the action will trigger an effect on other bell pipes surrounding it. The towers' footprints are turned into shallow skimming water pools.
