Design Plan
The Experience
- Description
- Foam core submission board designed for the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in 2003, titled “The Experience.” The design plan involves one windpipe for every victim placed around the site, creating an immersive auditory experience with an explorative path that leads to the towers' footprints, one clearing with a garden and the other a reflecting pool. Inside the pool is a metal cube that serves as the final resting place for the victim's unidentified remains. Below the memorial is an area for family members and the exposed Slurry Wall.
