Design Plan
- Description
- Untitled foam core submission board designed for the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in 2003. The design is a “brilliant” cube that repeats 3,000 times to represent each of the victims. Together, the cubes respond electronically in a swarm behavior, from chaos to intricate moving patterns stimulated by music or perhaps the spoken voice. The designer does not describe the mechanics of the cubes but rather their appearance within a large transparent sphere in the site's center, located above a lawn on which visitors observe the display.
