Design Plan
The Space Between Heaven and Earth
- Description
- Foam core submission board designed for the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in 2003, titled “The Space Between Heaven and Earth.” The designer of this plan used their visceral memories of the day as inspiration. They recalled the cobalt blue of the sky, the papers floating down from the towers, and the realization that most victims died above ground. Wind chimes, swaying sheets of paper, and the color cobalt are all used in this design to recreate these memories.
