Design Plan
- Description
- Untitled foam core submission board designed for the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in 2003. This design plan intends for each family to contribute a small 3D object that represents the essence of their loved one. Molds are cast from these objects and used in the design as rotating display features. Visitors cross a bridge below an arch where they use a crank to reveal one of the molds, bringing it to eye level. Also included in this design is a meditation labyrinth, a dome holding the unidentified remains, and the towers' footprints outlined in pavers.
