Design Plan
- Description
- Untitled foam core submission board designed for the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in 2003. This design plan replaces the footprints of the towers with thousands of translucent black pillars, each bearing the name of a victim and built to the victim's height. Within each pillar, a beam of light would extend to the ground and travel through a cable to the center of the site, where a large reflective globe would float above seven pedestals, representing the continents. The design also incorporates the handprints of responders.
