Design Plan
- Description
- Untitled foam core submission board designed for the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in 2003. This design plan requires the active participation of visitors walking around the footprints of the towers and pushing against over 3,000 paddles. Each paddle is inscribed with the name and life details of a victim. This movement generates electricity that is stored in a battery and used to light the memorial with a beam of light. The center of the tower footprints would contain a reflection pool and a field of wheatgrass.
