Memorial Globe
- Description
- Foam core submission board designed for the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in 2003, titled “Memorial Globe.” This design plan incorporates a Memorial Globe floating in descending pools of water. The globe is covered in opaque glass with colorful lights undulating on the surface. Inside the globe is a staircase with the victims' names included on each step. A lower room will hold the unidentified remains. The final ascent into the globe will feature a remnant of the Twin Towers facade. Also included are a kinetic sand mosaic and a viewing platform. Across from the site, there would be a Memorial Labyrinth, stage, and garden.
