Design Plan
- Description
- Untitled foam core submission board designed for the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in 2003. This design proposes a structure with two circular walls lined with lasers, numbering one per victim. The laser walls enclose an eternal flame. The lasers also respond to a global network of air pollution sensors that correspond to each victim, placed around the world in collaboration with the families' input. The lasers activate with improved air quality sensed by the corresponding sensor. This interactivity is intended to motivate the families and the broader community to improve air pollution globally. The data from the lasers and sensors would also be presented on a website.
