Design Plan
Memory Bank
- Description
- Foam core submission board designed for the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in 2003, titled “Memory Bank." The designer of this plan captured video footage of the Twin Towers 'collapses from her rooftop on 9/11. The impact of both her own footage and the event broadcast on television by people around the world formed the inspiration for this design. In this concept, each victim's family can submit up to seven photographs of their loved ones to compile a ten-minute montage of all images, with no sound. This compilation will be called the Memory Bank. The footprints of the towers will be outlined with seating. This design also includes a wall of names.
