Deep Life
- Description
- Foam core submission board designed for the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in 2003, titled “Deep Life.” This design plan proposes a sculptural structure resembling a spiral. The walls of the spiral are lined with thumbprints and over 2,000 holographic photo albums created in memory of the victims. At the center of the sculpture is a Hall of Heroes, dedicated to the firefighters. The design incorporates images captured by the Hubble Telescope to remind visitors that we are part of a larger space both spiritually and physically.
