- Description
- Recovered Port Authority of New York and New Jersey contract award log for the Engineering Department. The paper is dust-covered, crumpled, and torn.
- Historical Notes
- When hijacked Flight 11 pierced the North Tower and Flight 175 hit the South Tower, pieces of paper, some of them on fire, blew out of shattered windows. Some drifted onto lower Manhattan rooftops, balconies, and streets. Others were carried by wind for miles. After the towers collapsed, the area streets were covered in the paper debris.
