"NABE in a New York Minute | In the Midst of Economic Uncertainty" was created for NABE's 43rd Annual Meeting and IFABE's 13th Council Meeting. The booklet's cover features an image of the Twin Towers lit up at night and provides annual meeting information.

The annual National Association for Business Economics (NABE) conference was under way in the New York Marriott World Trade Center hotel (3 World Trade Center), located adjacent to the Twin Towers on the morning of September 11, 2001. Many of the approximately 300 participants were attending a keynote address in the hotel’s ballroom when they felt the impact of hijacked Flight 11's crash into the North Tower.
