- Washington, D.C. native CeCelia Richard lived in Fort Washington, Maryland, with her husband, Michael. A Washington Redskins football fan, she worked as an usher at the team’s stadium on home game days. CeCelia was also employed as an accounting technician for the U.S. Army. On September 11, she was at her office in the Pentagon. She was 41 years old.
Curator's Comment
CeCelia Richard was known for her sharp eye for detail. That attentiveness applied to her favorite hobby: crafting elegant swags made of silk flowers for family and friends. In each of her arrangements she included a white magnolia flower, which held a particular appeal for her.
