Briefcase, Recovered
- Description
- Recovered black portfolio briefcase belonging to Thomas J. Fisher. The significantly damaged briefcase is dust-encrusted and warped from exposure to the elements. A piece of paper with handwritten notes on it is adhered to the outside of the briefcase. Inside the briefcase were credit cards, identification cards, and paper documents.
- Historical Notes
- Queens native Thomas Fisher lived in Union Township, New Jersey, with his wife, Susan, and their three children. A sports enthusiast, he enjoyed golf outings, taking his children to sporting events, and watching the New York Mets and Knicks. On September 11, Thomas was on the South Tower’s 97th floor at Fiduciary Trust, where he worked as a vice president of operations. He was 36 years old.
