- Promotional button for a school play belonging to Amy Nicole Jarret. Cheaper by the Dozen is written on the button with a drawing of a carton of eggs, with faces on the eggs. "Martha" is written in red at the bottom of the button.
- Historical Notes
- Providence, Rhode Island, native Amy Jarret lived in North Smithfield with her father and brothers. She attended Villanova University, where she met her boyfriend, Kyle. Amy was a fan of her alma mater’s basketball team and also shared her love of University of Notre Dame football with her father. A United Airlines flight attendant, on September 11, Amy was working aboard Flight 175. She was 28 years old.
Curator's Comment
As a teenager, Amy Jarret was active in theater. She was a member of the drama club at her high school in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, as well as two other theater companies. This button was for Amy’s performance in the Theatre Company of Rhode Island’s 1987 production of Cheaper by the Dozen. She played the character Martha, a daughter growing up in a large family. After college, Amy became a flight attendant.
