- Native New Yorker Michael Iken lived in Riverdale in the Bronx with his wife, Monica. In summer 2001, he was learning to sail and took Monica out on the Hudson River to admire the view. On September 8, he stayed up late with friends celebrating his birthday with surf and turf and key lime pie. Three days later, Michael, a Euro Brokers broker, was at work on the South Tower’s 84th floor. He was 37 years old.
