- Memorial button created in memory of Michael D. Mullan. The button depicts a photograph of Mullan and printed text: "All Gave Some | FDNY | Some Gave All | Michael Dermott Mullan | Ladder 12 - Engine 3 | September 11, 2001." The button is discolored from rust.
- Historical Notes
- Lifelong Queens resident Michael Mullan lived with his parents in Flushing. In his free time, Michael played the piano and earned a black belt in karate. A captain in the U.S. Army Reserve and a registered nurse, Michael served with FDNY Ladder Company 12. On September 11, Firefighter Mullan was last seen returning to the Marriott hotel to aid members of his unit who were trapped. He was 34 years old.
