T-Shirt
- Description
- White youth size T-shirt created for a memorial event held in memory of Brooke Alexandra Jackman. The shirt has an orange and yellow graphic of a runner with a foot on a book. An image of Jackman is at the top with printed text: "Brooke Jackman | Run for Literacy | 3rd Annual | May 17, 2008." Below the graphic as well as on the back of the T-shirt are listed sponsors of the event.
- Historical Notes
- New York City native Brooke Jackman grew up on Long Island and lived in Manhattan. She loved to read and often browsed bookstores after work. After graduating from Columbia University, Brooke joined Cantor Fitzgerald as an assistant bond trader. She spent the Saturday before September 11 on the town with her sister. Three days later, Brooke was at work on the North Tower’s 104th floor. She was 23 years old.
