Banking Card, Recovered
- Description
- Recovered Citibank banking card issued to Gavkharoy Kamardinova. The card is slightly bent and the layer of plastic coating on the top is peeling.
- Historical Notes
- Born in Uzbekistan, Gavkharoy Kamardinova came to the United States to study at the Spanish-American Institute and settled in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. In early September, she began a new job as a salesperson for the gourmet food store Amish Market. On September 11, Gavkharoy was staffing a food cart for the store in Aon Corporation’s offices on the 98th floor of the South Tower. She was 26 years old.
