- Description
- Recovered black leather wallet belonging to Julio Fernandez. The wallet is warped from exposure to the elements and discolored in areas. Inside the wallet are credit cards, identification cards, and various papers.
- Historical Notes
- Born in Peru, Julio Fernandez lived in Queens with his wife, Enriqueta, and their two sons. Julio enjoyed playing football and cooking meals from his native country for friends and family. A union painter with OneSource Hudson Shatz, Julio was at work in the South Tower on September 11. He evacuated but was caught in the collapse of the towers. Julio was 51 years old.
