Shawl

- Prayer shawl belonging to Victor Wald. The shawl contains satin ribbon with intricate embroidery along one edge. The embroidery matches that on the front of the tallit bag in which the shawl is stored.
- Historical Notes
- Native New Yorker Victor Wald lived with his wife, Rebecca, and their two daughters in Manhattan. An avid reader, he filled their apartment with books, especially on history and Judaism. Victor was a broker at Avalon Partners on the North Tower’s 83rd floor. On September 11, a stranger, Harry Ramos, helped him down the stairs. The two were last seen on the 36th floor. Victor was 49 years old.
