T-Shirt
- Description
- Black T-shirt created for a memorial event held in memory of Peter Keith Ortale. On the left breast of the shirt is an American flag printed in white. The stripes are lacrosse sticks its stars spell out "PKO." On the back of the shirt is printed text: "In the Race to be Better or Best | Miss Not the Joy of Being | Anonymous | OPC '83 Duke '87 | Peter K. Ortale."
- Historical Notes
- Peter Ortale grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He lived with his wife, Mary, in SoHo in Manhattan and spent weekends at their home in Sag Harbor, Long Island. In his twenties, he canned salmon in Alaska, surfed in Hawaii, and played in the national lacrosse league in Australia. A bond broker for Euro Brokers, Peter was on the South Tower’s 84th floor on September 11. He was 37 years old.
