- Description
- Prayer card created in memory of Joseph D. Mistrulli. The front of the card is an illustration of a man being embraced by the figure of Jesus Christ. The figure of an angel hovers over the two. The back of the card features a photograph of Mistrulli. Printed text states: "Joseph D. Mistrulli | Entered into Eternal Life | September 11, 2001." A poem follows.
- Historical Notes
- Native New Yorker Joseph Mistrulli and his wife, Philomena, had three children. A carpenter, Joseph was adding a story to the family’s Wantagh, Long Island, home. He was a foreman for Island Acoustics and helped build New York City attractions such as the Russian Tea Room before it reopened in 2006. On September 11, Joseph was on a job with Bronx Builders at Windows on the World on the North Tower’s 107th floor. He was 47 years old.
