- Historical Notes
- Born in Asunción, Paraguay, Carlos Samaniego emigrated to the United States at the age of 20. He moved to New York, settling in the Flushing neighborhood of Queens. Outside of work, Carlos enjoyed bike riding, shopping, and baking, especially cookies. He was employed as a broker assistant at Cantor Fitzgerald. On September 11, Carlos was at work on the 104th floor of the North Tower. He was 29 years old.
