Prayer Card
- Description
- Prayer card created in memory of Carlos Alberto Samaniego. The front of the card features an image of the Tribute in Lights memorial at the World Trade Center. The back of the card includes a photograph of Samaniego, printed text: "Carlos A. Samaniego | Septiembre 11, 2001," and the passage Philippians 4:8–9, in Spanish. Two cards are taped side-by-side.
- Historical Notes
- Born in Asunción, Paraguay, Carlos Samaniego immigrated to the United States at the age of 20. He moved to New York, settling in the Flushing neighborhood of Queens. Outside of work, Carlos enjoyed bike riding, shopping, and baking, especially cookies. He was employed as a broker assistant at Cantor Fitzgerald. On September 11, Carlos was at work on the 104th floor of the North Tower. He was 29 years old.
