Baseball Cap

- Subway Series baseball cap belonging to Herman Charles Broghammer. The cap is navy blue with the New York Yankees logo on the left, 2000 in the center, and the New York Mets logo on the right. "SUBWAY SERIES" is embroidered in red below the logos.
- Historical Notes
- Queens native Herman Broghammer lived in North Merrick, Long Island, with his wife, Ursula. They had two children. Herman was a Eucharistic minister and member of the Knights of Columbus. He often wore two lapel pins: a U.S. flag and an apple noting his service to Aon Corporation, where he was a senior vice president. On September 11, Herman was at work on the South Tower’s 103rd floor. He was 58 years old.
