- 2001 NCAA Sweet 16 Baseball cap belonging to Thomas Anderson Hobbs. The cap is tan with a graphic of the head of a bulldog embroidered in the center. "2001 | NCAA" is embroidered in blue text to the left of the graphic and "SWEET | 16" is embroidered in blue and red text to the right.
- Historical Notes
- Born in Oceanside, Long Island, Thomas Hobbs lived in Baldwin with his wife, Allison, and their three children. Time outside work went to family. He called his mother daily after his father’s death in 2001 and sped from one field to another to coach his children’s sports teams. On September 11, Thomas was on the North Tower’s 105th floor, where he was a Cantor Fitzgerald energy trader. He was 41 years old.
