- Looney Tunes necktie belonging to Wilder Alfredo Gomez. The tie features full-color illustrations of Looney Tunes cartoon characters, including Daffy Duck, Tasmanian Devil, Yosemite Sam, Bugs Bunny, and Sylvester the Cat. A name tag with "Wilder A. Gomez" is taped to the front of the tie.
- Historical Notes
- A native of Cali, Colombia, Wilder Gomez moved to the United States in 1991. He lived in Brooklyn with his mother and youngest daughter and also had three children living in Colombia. Wilder played soccer and loved to dance. He worked as a waiter and bartender at Windows on the World near the top of the North Tower. On September 11, he was at the restaurant, filling in for a coworker. Wilder was 37 years old.
Curator's Comment
A Looney Tunes enthusiast, Wilder wore this tie as an accent to his work attire. This was one of his favorite ties.
