Hard Hat
- Description
- Plastic hard hat with cap-style brim and interior ratchet suspension. The hard hat is dark red in color and labeled "KOCH" on the front. The hat is well worn and covered in scratches and various stickers. The sticker on the front is bright yellow with blue details depicting the Twin Towers and text: "The World Trade Center | Progress With Safety." Other stickers on the hard hat include Ironworkers Local 40, MAC Steel, Union Ironworkers, Local 711 Montreal, Meloche Structural Steel, McWeld, and Los Angeles Sharks.
- Historical Notes
- David Rice worked on the construction of the Twin Towers as a member of the Mohawk nation and Local 40, a New York branch of an international ironworkers' union. He wore this hard hat while working on the building of the North Tower.
