Hard Hat
- Description
- Plastic hard hat with cap-style brim and interior ratchet suspension. The hard hat is white and covered in small scratches and encrusted gray dust. Several stickers are attached to the hat. On the front of the hat is a light yellow sticker with printed text: "J. Fletcher Creamer & Sons | Contractors." On the back of the hat is the trade sticker for the "International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers | Cement Masons." The other stickers are faded, partially missing, or covered in dirt.
- Historical Notes
- A member of New Jersey Local 4, International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, Emil Sabatini volunteered at Ground Zero the first several days after the attacks. He wore this hard hat during the immediate recovery efforts at Ground Zero.
