- Memorial bookmark created in memory of Mark Lawrence Bavis. The front of the bookmark includes printed text: "In Loving Memory of | Mark L. Bavis | September 11, 2001," followed by a printed prayer.
- Historical Notes
- Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Mark Bavis lived in Roslindale. A hockey player since age four, Mark pursued the sport in high school, college, and the minor leagues, often sharing the ice with his twin brother. Mark coached college hockey teams then became a scout for the Los Angeles Kings. On September 11, Mark boarded Flight 175 en route to the Kings’ training camp in Los Angeles. He was 31 years old.
