Polo Shirt

- White polo shirt created for a memorial event held in memory of Leonard W. Hatton Jr., “LEONARD HATTON | MEMORIAL | GOLF CLASSIC | Lest We Forget” is embroidered on the left breast with two crossed golf clubs, one with an American flag on the end with “9-11-01” and the other with a flag and “FBI” on it. The event sponsor, "Doyle Carden group LLC," is embroidered on the right sleeve of the shirt.
- Historical Notes
- Teaneck, New Jersey native Leonard Hatton lived with his wife, JoAnne, and their four children in Ridgefield Park, where he was a volunteer firefighter. As a New York Division FBI special agent, he earned numerous commendations. Heading to work on September 11, Special Agent Hatton saw smoke and fire coming from the North Tower and joined the rescue effort. He was 45 years old.
Curator's Comment
The Leonard Hatton Memorial Golf Classic has been held every year since 2002. The event raises money for scholarships for the children of deceased FBI agents.
