- Gold-colored desk globe with stand and attached placard belonging to Laurence Michael Polatsch. The plaque is engraved: "IT'S YOURS TO CONQUER!"
- Historical Notes
- Born in East Meadow on Long Island, Laurence Polatsch lived in Manhattan. Friends called him Mr. Hollywood for his appearances at celebrity parties and for once asking actress Julia Roberts out on a date after spotting her at a store. Laurence was an equities trader and partner at Cantor Fitzgerald. On September 11, he was at work on the North Tower’s 104th floor. Laurence was 32 years old.
