Prayer Card
Description
Prayer card created in memory of Thomas Joseph Kuveikis. The front of the card features a photograph of Kuveikis wearing his helmet and printed text: "In Loving Memory of | Thomas J. Kuveikis | September 11, 2001." The back of the card includes a printed prayer.
Historical Notes
Brooklyn-born Thomas Kuveikis lived in Carmel, New York, and was engaged to his girlfriend, Jennifer. Twice a year, he and his daughter from a previous marriage explored the outdoors together, including Yellowstone National Park and the Canadian Rocky Mountains. A 24-year FDNY veteran and Squad 252 member, Firefighter Kuveikis responded to the North Tower on September 11. He was 48 years old.
