Award plaque posthumously awarded to Jerome O. Nedd. The wooden plaque features a black placard and gold-colored text:
"Athletic Hall of Fame | The City College of New York | The City University of New York | Presents to | Jerome Nedd '93 | Track and Field."
A figure of a runner is mounted to the plaque's front. - Historical Notes
- Jerome Nedd came to the United States as a child from Trinidad and Tobago. He lived in Brooklyn with his wife, Roxanne, and their two sons. He also had a third son. After graduating from the New York Restaurant School, Jerome found a post at Windows on the World and soon became a cook at the restaurant’s bar. On September 11, Jerome was at work on the 107th floor of the North Tower. He was 39 years old.
Curator's Comment
This plaque inducting Jerome into the Athletic Hall of Fame of the City College of New York was presented to his family in 2002.
