Handwritten note left at the 9/11 Memorial in memory of Gary Frederick Lutnick. The note was written on the back of a business card and reads:
"Hey Gary, Hope you are doing well. You and your bro created something amazing at Cantor—enhancing Bernie's vision. Thx for giving me the chance to grow my career, personal, professional, and spiritual life. All the best, Baron." - Historical Notes
- Born in Syosset, Long Island, Gary Lutnick lived in Manhattan. He had close bonds with his siblings and relished time spent with his nieces and nephews. He let them play his vast collection of video games and took them to the movies and the park. Gary worked as a managing director and trader at Cantor Fitzgerald. On September 11, he was at his office on the North Tower’s 104th floor. He was 36 years old.
Curator's Comment
This note was left on the N-38 parapet of the North Pool on the 9/11 Memorial for Gary Frederick Lutnick on May 28, 2014. The business card belonged to Baron Bruno and was folded and placed in the hollow of the name.
