Handwritten note left at the 9/11 Memorial in memory of William Ralph Raub. The note was written on the back of a ripped business card and reads:
"Thanks for the training Will. I'm here visiting you guys on my 44th b-day. Let's have a nice wine tonight @ Bruno's—Baron." - Historical Notes
- Suffern, New York, native William Raub lived in Saddle River, New Jersey, with his wife, Maureen, and their two young children. A golfer, William was teaching his daughter the game and often took her to the driving range. During 16 years at Cantor Fitzgerald, William rose to be a senior vice president and partner. On September 11, William was at work on the North Tower’s 104th floor. He was 38 years old.
Curator's Comment
This note was left on the N-25 parapet of the North Pool on the 9/11 Memorial for William Ralph Raub on May 28, 2014. The business card belonged to Baron Bruno and was folded and placed in the hollow of the name.
