- Memorial card created in memory of Matthew Douglas Horning. The front of the card features a photograph of Horning and printed text that reads: "In Loving Memory | Matthew D. Horning | January 16, 1975 | September 11, 2001." On the back of the card is a quotation from Ralph Waldo Emerson.
- Historical Notes
- Born in New Jersey, Matthew Horning lived in Hoboken. He enjoyed spending time with his parents, Diane and Kurt, and his girlfriend, Maura. Matthew rooted for the New York Mets and Jets and was learning to play the guitar. He joined Marsh & McLennan in 1999 and worked as a database administrator. On September 11, Matthew was at his office on the North Tower’s 95th floor. He was 26 years old.
