Memorial Card
Description
Memorial card for Zeus, an NYPD K-9. The card depicts a photograph of Zeus with his NYPD handler, Robert Schnelle. Printed text on the card reads: "In Loving Memory of K-9 Zeus | July 23, 2002 | Partner: | Officer Robert Schnelle | New York Police Dept. NY." On the back of the card is the printed poem "Guardians of the Night."
Historical Notes
NYPD Officer Robert Schnelle and his canine partner Zeus, a German shepherd, responded to the bombing attack on the World Trade Center in 1993 and the attack on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City in 1995.
