- Description
- Memorial card created in memory of Brian Christopher Hickey. The front of the card features an artist rendering of a photograph of Hickey wearing his formal dress uniform. The back of the card includes a printed poem.
- Historical Notes
- Born in Jackson Heights, Queens, Brian Hickey lived in Bethpage, Long Island, with his wife, Donna, and their four children. A U.S. Air Force veteran, Brian spent 20 years as an FDNY firefighter. Injured fighting a June 2001 fire with his company, Rescue 4, he recovered at home over the summer. On September 11, newly back at work, Captain Hickey responded to the South Tower. He was 47 years old.
