- Historical Notes
- Lawrence Provost was a U.S. Army Reservist who responded to Ground Zero on September 11 and volunteered there during the recovery period. In late winter 2002, he made his first visit to St. Paul’s Chapel while it was serving as a place of rest and reflection and a hub for support services. Deeply moved by the children’s art that brightened the chapel’s interior, he took this drawing as a memento of his own military service.
