Design Plan
- Description
- Untitled foam core submission board designed for the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in 2003. This design plan includes benches or rows of pews running parallel to the sun angle captured by the Libeskind designed “wedge of light.” The benches would be constructed of steel, stone, and glass and would cross the entire site. The name of each victim is handwritten on a bench. Accompanying the name will be a drawing created and chosen by the designer. The South Tower footprint contains a reflecting pool, and the North Tower footprint contains a field of wildflowers.
