Journey of the Spirit
- Description
- Foam core submission board designed for the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition in 2003 titled “Journey of the Spirit.” This design plan features elements of sound, light, and water. The site is covered in lawns and gardens, including a Memorial Conservatory with space for contemplation. Inside the Conservatory is a thin veil of water with victims' names behind it; family members can pass through the veil. There is also a beacon that rises out of the Conservatory. The footprints of the towers would be outlined with rivers of rushing water under steel catwalks.
