Memorial Card
- Description
- Laminated memorial card created in memory of Kevin Michael Williams and left at the 9/11 Memorial. The front of the card features a black-and-white photograph of Williams standing in a boat and holding up two large fish. On the back is a printed test: "In loving memory of Kevin M. Williams | August 23, 1977 - September 11, 2001" followed by a poem. A small blue ribbon is attached to the card with a safety pin.
- Historical Notes
- Born in Port Jefferson, Long Island, Kevin Williams lived in Shoreham. He and his fiancée, Jillian, were to marry in December 2001. Once the captain and shortstop of his high school baseball team, Kevin continued to follow the sport, especially the New York Yankees. On September 11, Kevin was on the South Tower’s 104th floor at Sandler O’Neill & Partners, where he was a bond salesman. He was 24 years old.

This card was left on the S-50 parapet of the South Pool on the 9/11 Memorial for Kevin Michael Williams on March 24, 2015.
