- Notre Dame baseball cap belonging to Herman Charles Broghammer. The cap is black with "Notre Dame" embroidered in gold on the front.
- Historical Notes
- Queens native Herman Broghammer lived in North Merrick, Long Island, with his wife, Ursula. They had two children. Herman was a Eucharistic minister and member of the Knights of Columbus. He often wore two lapel pins: a U.S. flag and an apple noting his service to Aon Corporation, where he was a senior vice president. On September 11, Herman was at work on the South Tower’s 103rd floor. He was 58 years old.
