- Baseball cap from a memorial fund event held in memory of Laurence Michael Polatsch. The cap is dark blue with "LP 2006" embroidered on the front alongside the image of a golfer swinging a club. On the back of the cap is "We Will Never Forget" embroidered in yellow. The cap is slightly faded.
- Historical Notes
- Born in East Meadow on Long Island, Laurence Polatsch lived in Manhattan. Friends called him Mr. Hollywood for his appearances at celebrity parties and for once asking actress Julia Roberts out on a date after spotting her at a store. Laurence was an equities trader and partner at Cantor Fitzgerald. On September 11, he was at work on the North Tower’s 104th floor. Laurence was 32 years old.
